About Danish Inns & Hotels
About 100 inns, hotels, castles and manors
Dansk kroferie
It started a long time ago. Some inns in Jutland found out that it was a good idea to work together in order to get more guests. Since then, Funen and Zealand inns also joined the co-operation, and this developed into the association Dansk Kroferie which today totals nearly 50 inns and hotels all over the country. Many of the inns are royally licensed inns which have been situated at the old main roads for several hundred years and which take pride in maintaining the good old traditions for good inn-keeping.
City hotels
Today, the association Danske Kroer & Hoteller includes several types of inns and hotels, but it is a common feature that they attach great importance to personal service and being good hosts. City Hotels are situated in the centre of the cities, and their guests can enjoy the fine central location which provides lots of possibilities of experiencing the atmosphere of the cities and the many cultural and gastronomic offers. For example, you can choose between five hotels in Copenhagen, and you will also find City Hotels in the cities Thisted, Brønderslev, Hjørring, Aalborg, Aarhus, Silkeborg, Skanderborg, Esbjerg, Odense, Assens, Roskilde, Sorø and Elsinore.
Classic hotels
Classic Hotels are situated both at the sea, in the countryside and in the cities, and they endeavour to give every single guest an outstanding experience. Each hotel and inn has its own history, traditions and specialities, and Classic Hotels are scattered all over the country – from North Jutland to Møn and Bornholm.
Castles and manors
Danske Kroer & Hoteller also includes 5 castles and manors Slotte & Herregårde, namely 1 in Jutland, 1 in Funen and 3 in Zealand. Castle and manor holidays in unique historic surroundings are an outstanding experience – no matter whether it is a weekend stay or a mini holiday, meetings and conferences, or parties and celebrations.
